Candex is marketed as a candida fighter and may kill candida very effectively. It accomplishes this task because the digestive enzymes in Candex (especially the Cellulase and HemiCellulase) digest the fibrous outer layer of candida organisms. Candida can not stand the disruption to the cellular wall and those organisms "digested" by Candex will die. The concept is really quite brilliant. The candida does not even realize it is under attack and can mount no defense to being digested.
Candex does seem to be fairly easy on the person taking the product. Cleansing reactions (die-off) are certainly minimized. If a person has a light candida infection, Candex may be all you need to get the job done. If you have had candida for a long time or have a resistant strain that is difficult to kill, it would be a good idea to use another candida fighter along with Candex. We have found ThreeLac and Candex to be very effective together.
